MEGOGO Subscriptions for Internet Providers

This guide is for developers of internet providers and other partners that sell MEGOGO subscriptions to their subscribers. It shows how to activate, renew and stop a MEGOGO subscription, and how to give the subscriber a MEGOGO account to sign in to MEGOGO.

How it works

  1. The subscriber buys a MEGOGO subscription from you, for example as an option of the internet tariff.
  2. Your server sends subscribe with the identifier of the subscriber in your billing (for example the contract number) and the service ID of the subscription. MEGOGO activates the subscription.
  3. Your server makes a login (an e-mail address) and a password for the subscriber and sends them with changeCredentials. MEGOGO makes the account of the subscriber.
  4. You show the login and the password in the personal account of the subscriber on your site, and a button that opens the MEGOGO sign-in page.
  5. The subscriber signs in to MEGOGO with the login and the password: on the web or in the MEGOGO applications for Android and iOS.

You bill the subscriber. MEGOGO does not charge the subscriber for your subscription.

The API

Item Value
Base URL https://billing.megogo.net/partners/{partner_id}/
Methods GET; POST for user/changeCredentials
Subscriber identification Your identifier of the subscriber: contract number, account number or another ID in your billing
Security The list of IP addresses of your servers

The API has these requests:

Request Purpose
subscription/{operation} Start (subscribe), stop (unsubscribe), suspend (suspend) or resume (resume) the subscription
user/subscriptions Get the active subscriptions of a subscriber
user/changeCredentials Set the login and the password of the MEGOGO account of a subscriber
user/innerId Get the MEGOGO user ID and the current login of a subscriber
user/create Make a MEGOGO user for a subscriber without a subscription
user/changeLogin Change the identifier of a subscriber

What the API does not do

  • MEGOGO does not send notifications to your server. There are no callbacks or webhooks. To know the state of a subscription, send user/subscriptions.
  • MEGOGO does not send messages to the subscriber about your subscription. You tell the subscriber how to sign in.
  • The subscriber cannot cancel or renew your subscription in MEGOGO. Only your requests change it.
  • MEGOGO does not bill the subscriber for your subscription. You bill the subscriber.
  • Your billing is the source of truth. Compare it with MEGOGO regularly. See Reconciliation.

Where to start

  1. Credentials: what MEGOGO gives you.
  2. Getting started: your first requests.
  3. Subscriber and MEGOGO account: identifiers, logins and passwords.
  4. Activate a subscription and Renew, suspend and stop.
  5. Go-live checklist.

Support

Your MEGOGO manager gives you the credentials and the service IDs. For technical questions, send an e-mail to supportpartners@megogo.net. Write your partner ID, the time of the request (UTC) and the response.
