Manage the MEGOGO account

This guide shows how to change the password of the subscriber, how to show the current login, and how to change the identifier of the subscriber.

Change the password

You can give the subscriber a form "Change password" in the personal account on your site.

    User->>Server: New password
    Server->>API: user/innerId (identifier)
    API-->>Server: uid, email (current login)
    Server->>API: user/changeCredentials (isdn, current email, new password)
    API-->>Server: "successful": true
    Server-->>User: The new password
  1. Get the current login of the subscriber:

    GET https://billing.megogo.net/partners/{partner_id}/user/innerId?identifier={identifier}

    {"uid": 1234567890, "email": "100245@your-isp.example"}

  2. Send user/changeCredentials with the current login and the new password:

    POST https://billing.megogo.net/partners/{partner_id}/user/changeCredentials
    Content-Type: application/json

    {"isdn": "{identifier}", "email": "{current_login}", "password": "{new_password}"}

  3. After "successful": true, show the new password in the personal account.

CAUTION

Always get the current login first. The subscriber can change the login in the MEGOGO profile. If you send your old login, you change the login of the subscriber back.

Show the current login

Send user/innerId and show email in the personal account. Do this, for example, each time the subscriber opens the MEGOGO section.

If the response has no email, the subscriber has no login. Make it with user/changeCredentials. See Activate a subscription.

Change the identifier of the subscriber

If your identifier of the subscriber changes, for example after a new contract number, move the subscriber to the new identifier:

GET https://billing.megogo.net/partners/{partner_id}/user/changeLogin?identifier={old_identifier}&newIdentifier={new_identifier}
{"uid": 1234567890}

user/changeLogin changes your identifier of the subscriber, not the login (e-mail). The MEGOGO user, the subscriptions and the login stay the same. After the request, use only the new identifier. The old identifier is free.

Response Cause Action
User {old_identifier} not found for partner {partner_id} MEGOGO has no subscriber with the old identifier Check the identifier
"successful": false with the text Duplicate entry MEGOGO already has a subscriber with the new identifier Do not send other requests with the new identifier before changeLogin. Tell MEGOGO support
ISDNs must be different The two identifiers are the same No action is necessary

WARNING

Do not send requests with the new identifier before changeLogin. Each request with a new identifier makes a new MEGOGO user, and then changeLogin cannot move the subscriber.
